Interactive sessions within the library for children and parents. These sessions offer a combination storytelling and book reading, rhyme time and action words for children of all ages. Be prepared! It will not be the traditional ‘quiet space’ for these session. A craft activity may accompany the session if appropriate for the space and time.

Storytelling and interactive sessions that can be based on a theme or event. Sessions will include a mixture of familiar traditional stories, world tales and some original stories with some nonsense tales thrown in. Community events tend to be mixed adult and children audiences so expect some silly fun and laughter. I have told stories in community farms, neighbourhood festival, village celebrations and fairs.

Storytelling on a chosen theme or curriculum topic. The sessions can include workshops on how to tell stories, the history of storytelling, interactive storytelling or a combination of these. I can offer individual class or year group sessions or an assembly style presentation. In all sessions I aim to inspire children’s creativity and imagination using their speaking and listening skills to enhance learning across the curriculum while having a lot of fun.
